Girls' Sorority (SoulDeevas' Chapter Beta Kappa)
  "The Paradigm Shift"

The Sorority was formed to give young ladies an opportunity to connect with other young people for the purpose of community service, academic enrichment, life skills and etiquette. Through the social engagement component, members have the opportunity to establish and grow friendships that we hope will be lifelong, even as their worldviews begin to change.

 

The Groups meet on Fridays from 7pm to 8pm where they learn about the history of their organization and are also engaged in a variety of classes that range from financial literacy to American Sign Language, to career development and more.  Once a month, they will meet on Saturdays for social activities and service projects.

They will participate in events in support of our basketball, cheerleading, dance, drama, drumlines, fashion design, hip-hop majorettes, step, and student council groups.

​

Membership requires discipline and a willingness to learn and adapt.  It will demand the utmost in respect from all of the participants who will be asked to do things that their peer organizations might not do (no cursing; strict rules around decorum, attendance and punctuality; fitness routine) and it should be understood that they must confirm to all of our rules in order to participate.

​

An application will be required and will be emailed or given to families on their first day.  All groups participate in fundraisers for the organization's general overhead (which includes space rental, supplies, etc.).
